A Message to the International Community from Inside Iran

This was found in an undisclosed location. The text is as follows:

I apologise in advance for the tone and style of this letter to you. The people in Tehran of whom I speak on behalf are weak and tired. I hope you are able to clearly understand the message we are sending to you. This letter is a call to all people outside of Iran, both Persian expatriates and other people. At the present time this is very important for the fate of Iran. To quote Napolean: "There is but one step between victory and defeat." We in Iran are at the same critical step. Your help is of the most urgent importance.

Tonight I was just up on the roof. I was at home and began hearing the voice of a young girl crying out from her roof top, "Allahu Akbar!" I began to join in with her chant until I had no strength remaining to yell. "Allahu Akbar! We're all together!" For 30 minutes we cried out into the night together. Eventually I became a bit frustrated and nervous about being on the roof and came down. But the sound of the girl continued. She began chanting loudly, "Iranians join together! Support, Support!"

These words warmed the hearts of those of us within the range of her voice. The last few days I have been all around the city, demonstrating and chanting. This girls voice touched me most of all.
Here in Tehran people are scared. The rumors are swirling about people who are identifying demonstrators from pictures found online and then going to their homes at night and attacking their families. Yesterday CNN aired a video with a voice screaming from inside a house. The video showed darkness, but the sound of a woman begging Basiji to leave her home has galvanized us. People are scared!

Another video has also put fear into a lot of Iranian people. That is the video of the late Neda Agha-Soltan (the woman shot on the street who died). Neda's death has perplexed people. As foreign media has been removed from our televisions, we are dependent on Iranian State Television which is practising a severe psychological warfare with our minds. Now everywhere people go they are watching who is behind them. All over the streets of Tehran are clothes which have been left behind by those arrested by police and Basiji. Today I became downhearted when I saw only a few thousand at 7 June Square for Neda's memorial. God, we all have to get our spirits back! Right now, time is very critical! We have these immediate needs:

  1. Please tell your governments that if they are seen as interfering or supporting our actions - then we have lost! I believe that if we can receive covert resources and support without prompting action by the regime, our enemy will be severely suppressed. Today we heard from sources outside of Iran that we can not win. Those who are saying this in the media please notice: You must also mention the success of the results thus far. For the sake of the spirit of our demonstrators, you must mention that we are making great strides. Your words have the power of giving energy to our cause. The actions against us will only escalate unless the legitimacy of this government is removed from popular opinion. We only have ourselves to depend on. Today the commander of the Tehran Police refused to implement the suppression orders sent down to him by the Government. This was a small success, however many were later arrested when the information became known to the Officials.
  2. People are afraid to demonstrate without money or resources. Many are afraid that a general strike will drain bank accounts and thus cripple our efforts. Please be cautious when calling for demonstrators to remove money from banks, stop shopping and work. While it is effective for us to use these measures, please be cautious and regard that we are making necessary plans within our groups. Your information being sent en mass through public mediums is falling directly into the hands of our enemies.
  3. Continue blocking Iran regime websites. We continue needing Firefox plug-ins, anonymous portals and IP devices. If you can find a way to provide those to us, it will be important in our efforts.
  4. Iranian State Television is creating massive distorition of truths. Their reports are stirring fear and frustration in the people. They collect information from foreign media websites and report just the opposite, or design filtered propaganda to distress our efforts. The Iran television news is showing pictures that have been collected off websites of the demonstrators, and they are asking viewers to send in informative leads to who the face belongs to and where they live. Recently many have blanked out the face of the demonstrators before uploading our pictures. That is a great help to our cause.
  5. The Regime is accusing foreign governments and Western media with unfounded charges. Their motive in doing so is to create chaos and diversion. They are provoking governments to take a position instead of well-thought passive defense. The State-Run News plays up the Western governments as imperfect and problematic - attempting to inspire people to stop these protests for fear of becoming like the Western nations. These allegations have been extremely critical of the USA and President Obama administration. What we feel is best would be the United Nations to call on Iran's regime to hold another election. We all have the courage to face this, so International Community, as your governments to pressure the UN to act on requesting a new election in Iran. Also continue to call on your governments in Europe and America to visibly appear neutral and do not show explicit support. The USA administration is doing that and it helps so much. President Ahmadinejad is very worried at this hour of the protests.
  6. It is very likely that quite soon our leaders: Mousavi, Karroubi and Khatami will be arrested. It is also very likely many other political leaders will be detained. We call on the International Media to continue broadcasting fair information while remaining responsible.

  6. greetings from mexico!

there is no spiritual moral authority that condones shooting a girl for protesting.
it is a disease of cowardice that anyone is offended by any girl protesting anything! they have shown themselves to be cowards and liars!
they have murdered an innocent. they have murdered the entire world. take courage from who you are and who you have shown yourselves to be... you are not just changing Iran, you are changing the world, which your leaders are too blind to see... you witness the movement of God in the people... this movement is true! God is never afraid of losing His power, but your leaders are afraid. they are cowards! they are working against the movement of God in the people, not for the movement of God in the people... you have started a worldwide revolution -- something your leaders should be proud of, because it is a revolution of courage, inner strength, compassion for others -- and you are faced with the brutality of losers! time is on your side... so plan for the future... as they become more brutal they only show the weakness of their cowardice -- you, the revolution, are now fighting against evil -- because power is given by God to help the people -- not to enslave and destroy the people.

  19. All of us in the world hope and pray that Iranians are able to win their struggle for human rights and freedoms that they currently are denied by a SUPREME LEADER that must think that he acts on behalf of God or Allah. The Iranian Supreme Leader IS NO BETTER THAN ANYBODY ELSE! He has NO RIGHT to send militia, police, or ANYONE to INFLICT HARM ON ANOTHER HUMAN BEING. Iran's SUPREME LEADER is guilty of CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY. He should be tried in an international court, but ultimately GOD or ALLAH will deal with him.

  20. THE SUPREME LEADER MUST BE TRIED FOR CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY. THIS RIVALS HOW NAZI GERMANY BEGAN. KHAMANEI MUST BE STOPPED. HE IS NOT GOD. HE IS NOT ALLAH. HE DOES NOT ACT ON HIS BEHALF. Who does he think he is?!?!

  21. Hallo to all of you lionhearted people. No Government want to make your position worse, they are carefull. Everyone who is human enough is crying, that the world is still so nonhuman.
Politics are a game of its own. It is always about money and power. But there are lows and when a single man or a government is breaking it, there must be a Court and a lawyer and most important, Justice!!!! Of course it is barbaric to kill the own children and the cry for visible rights, therefore it is very important not to give up and fight with everything that is possible. 100 of years it is going on like this. So many have died for a better world. We can not allow people to kill that and make the world a dictatorship.
In so many Countries the women and children are the one how are suffering and dying.
This world needs to understand that friendships are cost much less money and that we all in this world are brothers and sisters. We need more love and help and ethics united not just always money and power.
As long as resources and moneymaking is first on the list , the world is in danger. There are so many other ways to manage the humanity.
Are we going to fight so long until finally atom bobs destroy this paradise planet?????
The world is full of enemy s,and the worst is when the fathers of our own countries start to kill us for some political possessions and Nazism reasons. A Government is our worker, we are not their worker. They must hear what the people need, think and want to go in the future!!!
Everyone who creates killing will bring endless killing with him. Without human security and rights, there are and will be more killing, because nobody can accept to loose a child or his life for nothing.
We need to act in our good human nature, not just in worse, like wolfs.
Right now so many people in so many countries are standing up and be killed. What for????
And this behavior of watching away will kill everyone on this planet!!!!
We are not god but we have to do something to rescue the positive sight of the human being,we have a huge history it is time to reboot us not just machines.
In the hole world every day the People are in front of the Ambassadors and fighting for u guys. Never seen like this before.
In this situation nobody can send money, because the Government will not allow. This is one of the worst scenarios that could be happen.
Everyone is in shock and wants to help, but it is the Governments that have the only contact and power to help. We can not arm the world, so everyone become a criminal or murderer. Do not give up, scream and fight, no one can kill 14.000.000 people. You are more than them.
Put your selfs in millions together and fight for your rights. You are not alone, this are wolfs, but you guys are lions. Big hugs and kisses from all of us who are caring and looking for a solution.

  23. Just know this will be a long, slow process. I think the international community, the rest of the world, supports you. I know I pray for you, all of you. Keep it up, but do it peacefully. The "supreme leader" and his cronies are already scared. That's why they are being so cruel. So, again, keep up the resitence. I just hope it does not become to vicious for you. You, all of you who try to create a new world for yourselves, give hope to those of us in the rest of the world. So, keep it up, but be careful.

  25. This seems to be a rather long letter to be "found" somewhere. Even though, I feel sad and angry about Iran. Sad because the revolution, I am afraid, is over, and now those who claim to be close to God will be arresting young freedom fighters. I am angry because the revolution could have been a victory, if they had a good leader. Makes me wonder, is Mousavi the right person to lead Iran?

  26. Not sure if this is real, but taking it as such. Know that many of us are on the side of the Green Revolution in Iran, and will do what we can to help.

  30. My heart breaks for all of you. There needs to be another election, if not an outright overthrow. However, for Obama to call for such a thing is just the ammunition Ahmadi wants. He wants to be able to say, "See! The Americans are interfering in our domestic affairs!" We've done so before, with sad consequences.

We don't want to do anything that could galvanize the establishment against you. But we are with you! I don't know of a single American, Republican or Democrat or anything else, who does not support your fight for freedom.

Please don't give up. And I hesitate to say that, although your latest instructions aren't likely to lead to any bloodshed. I don't want to see your blood shed. But I do want to see you be free.

  33. The People, if not the weak, naive President stand behind you. Your yearning for freedom was realized for us over 200 years ago. We ahve paid a price in blood as you are and encourage you not to lose sight of the promise of freedom.

We would do anything we can. As individuals, we can only give to organizations that will then turn that aid over to the governemnt. We will do anything to weaken the tyrants. If you have any suggestions for us. please post them here.

My prayers for the safety of you and your families and the gentle guidance of Allah in your struggle. Peace be upon you, Neda and all your families and the brave souls fighting for your freedom.

  37. The way your regime has conducted itself reflects its illigitimacy. This has to rank among the worst attrocities the world has ever seen this coming from "Religious leaders" and "Holy men" who are in reality demons sent from the pit of hell. They pillaged the resources of Iran while the people suffer (Khatami's son supposedly has 1.6 Billion squirreld away in England). Scary is the judgement waiting for them from the Lord most high. I wish I could come to Iran and help you fight for your freedom. All I can do now is pray and encourage our leaders here to do what they can to put pressure on the regime by heavy international sanctions. Know that the people in Iran are on the hearts and in the prayers of all Americans. In Islam the term justice has special meaning. I hope we all see it soon.

  40. Though I am far away, this situation you are all in bothers me profoundly. I hate that so many people are dying, and I want you all to come out on top. It hurts anyone with a conscience, anywhere in the world. I wish I could do something BIG to help, but I'm so far away.

So...I'll just say, that I'll look forward to the day when you and all of the people of Iran are free to live in peace, not fear, free amongst us who are so far from you. I love you all compassionately in the way every good person is supposed to care dearly for those around them, it's only human.

Don't ever give up. Never loose your courage. Us people, like you, are beyond the governments everywhere, at the root of it all, we all just want simply to live in peace, and have good full happy lives that only the power hungry want to destroy.

I know that eventually you all will succeed, despite what anyone may say. Anyone who has ever fought hard enough for something they really believed in succeded, but at a high cost. All of your people have lost a lot recently, and if you continue, that will as well. In the end, however, what you achieve will avenge their deaths, and bring justice to the heartless people who bring you tears along with peace and freedom to your country.

Praise God, and may God bless each and every one of you.

    Sincerely- Samantha

  46. My Beloved Hamvatan: I shed tears of pain and joy while reading your posting and others. I am afraid, I, personally, do not have good news. I have lived in the U.S. for over 30 years, but never succumbed to this brutal and criminal regime's propaganda. I will leave and put my life on the line to do what I think needs to be done. You need to arm yourselves. You have to respond the bullet with bullet. We are not putting our lives on the line to select a "better looking" person within the framework of the same regime. We need to get rid of Theocracy and establish a Democracy! No dictatorship will ever give up without bloodshed. In the age of electronics and sophisticated weaponry, masses of people are at a huge disadvantage. Regardless of how many proxies and IP services provide, the blood-sucking thugs, these vermin, always will have the upper hand. They have the Nokias and Siemenses of the world in their deep pockets. Attack the weapon storages and let's arm the people. As some chanted, Vay Bar An Rooz keh Mossalah Shavim (Be afraid of the day we arm ourselves). Why wait? They need to go, they need to be broken down, defeated, arrested, and executed! The Time has come my beloved Iranians!!!
